Lady Sam
Jon Germain is a man of many talents, he presented Allo Tigo on Metro TV for fourteen years, he has acted, he is a musician and now currently presents the drop off on Starr FM on weekdays. Jon Germain is undoubtedly a male fashionista. He has been nominated severally for fashion awards and won ‘Celebrity Fashion Icon’ a couple of years ago. I manage to meet Jon at the Holiday Inn Hotel this week to find out more about him and fashion.
Lady Sam: I must say that even though you are dressed casually with your Khaki style pants and a plain white T-shirt you still look very fashionable, how do you do it?
Jon: (He laughs) I wouldn’t say I do anything in particular, yes I love clothes and I like to look good but generally I wear what I like.
Lady Sam: How would you describe your style?
Jon: I would describe my style as classy and trendy, I’m a big fan of classy suits but every once in a while I like classy jeans and rock style T-shirts.
Lady Sam: And what about your hair, I have noticed that your hair is very sleek tell us the truth is it chemically treated?
Jon: My hair is 100% natural. To keep it looking trim or looking sleek as you say, I just make sure that I visit the barber once every week.
Lady Sam: Oh I see. Ok I want to ask you when it comes to your lady do you prefer to see your lady in jeans or a skirt?
Jon: To be honest it really depends on the lady’s figure, some ladies look amazing in fitted skirts because it flatters their figure. Whereas some ladies look good in jeans so it is about the lady knowing what suits her figure more.
Lady Sam: Ok flats or heels, what do you prefer her to wear?
Jon: Heels…Always
Lady Sam: I see you didn’t have to think twice about that (He starts laughing and nods) Who is your all time celebrity icon?
Jon: Without a shadow of a doubt, I would have to say David Beckham, he barely gets a foot wrong.
Lady Sam: What about your favourite designer?
Jon: I would say the late Kofi Ansah
Lady Sam: Which male celebrity in Ghana do you think dresses really well in Ghana?
Jon: I think it has to be KOD.
Lady Sam: Ok so what about female?
Jon: Deborah Vanessa.
Lady Sam: Oh wow, that is interesting. So what about make-up do you prefer your lady to wear bold or nude make-up?
Jon: I love make-up..as long as it makes her look better.
Lady Sam: Really?
Jon: Oh yes I do, on a lady of course lol.
Lady Sam: Glad we cleared that up, lol..So speaking of looking better what do you do to ensure you look better?
Jon: Emmm I guess eating right is important, I am a vegetarian, I always try to ensure that I eat well.
Lady Sam: What about smelling well or nice rather, what is your favourite aftershave?
Jon: Tom Ford – Black Orchid.
